About the organiser
A fundraising initiative by Lisa Calvert.
My sisters and I tragically lost our amazing Mam, Breda Hickey, on November 23, 2021. She was kind, thoughtful, hilarious (sometimes accidentally!), and basically my soul/heart. She spent many years of her life fund-raising for charity and so I wanted to do something special in February (her birthday month) in order to honour her memory.
It has been an extremely difficult year and the grief counselling provided by the Irish Support Agency has helped me to no end. We all know somebody living abroad and to have found that support on the other side of the world has been amazing. It is a charity for all generations- helping new parents, seniors, and people like myself to bridge the gap between here and our homeland by offering seemingly endless support. They mainly depend on donations and are such a worthy cause.
Own It Fit bootcamp has been the other most beneficial outlet for my mental health and so I decided to combine the two for this fundraiser.
Please donate what you can, every little helps. Lisa

About Brian Quinlan of Own It Fit
I'm a Kerryman and have been in Australia for 18 years. I wasn't someone who was historically involved in many Irish organisations but when my dad passed away unexpectedly almost 4 years ago it rocked me to my core and resulted in me wanting to be closer to more of my people.

Within the last 12 months I attended 2 events put on by the Irish Support Agency and I was blown away by them. The events were well organised and really beneficial to me personally. When Lisa approached me about helping support ISA, it was a total no brainer for me to help where we could.
